Bunch of Babble (You've been warned:)

A person once told me I don't put enough of myself into my writing.
I'm here to rectify as I type a page from my journal entitled to no one in particular:

Hello Dear Friend,

I lay here and ponder over everything that comes to mind...
We all want to make a special contribution to the world, good or evil. Many of us don't get that chance and others get far less chances than we hope. I watched a documentary on the plague and upon trying to conceive the experience, I was overcome by sadness. Not as much by the death toll many succumbed to but by the dreadful losses of human contact. To be in such a time that tested every moral fiber of one's soul by treating the afflicted. Friends, siblings, parents, strangers and with God, there was this disconnect that I felt through the their last testaments that is impossible to illustrate in the written word. Shall I make such a contribution to mankind I often wonder. It feels apparent that I am destined for great things as we all should yearn for from the moment we receive knowledge and desire to learn more...
We should all face our mortality face forward and speak earnest words of what we have yet to accomplish.
Thank you for acknowledging my existence and I advise you to spend your own wisely with as much care as you would preparing for its end.
